Making India Proud at Google Science Fair

Two Indian students are amongst the 16 worldwide finalists for the sixth annual ‘Google Science Fair 2016’ to compete for the USD 50,000 scholarship. Four other Indian origin teenagers are also the part of the finalists.

15 year old Fatima from the Sadhu Vaswani International School at Hyderabad has build a control system to supply automatic water management system which controls the operation of the gates at the main reservoir and the supply at the field irrigation canals.

A high school student Shriank, 15, representing National Public School, Indiranagar, Bangalore, has created KeepTab . This is a wearable device that uses a cloud-based deep-learning framework to aid human-memory recollect the location of their day-to-day objects. Shriank was a finalist at the FIRST LEGO League World Champions in 2012.

The Google Science Fair is a universal online science and technology competition open to all individuals and teams from ages 13 to 18.
