Skills training to get a push in new education policy

A 5-member committee that has drafted the new education policy is likely to suggest a revamp of the three-language formula, introducing new streams and making skills training an integral part of curricula. The committee is likely to submit its report this week. Sources said the new policy could transform higher education institutions into centres of excellence.
