MASSIVE GALAXY CLUSTERS OF ABEL 370 STUDIED

NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope is excellent in observing multitudes of galaxies tossed across time and space. A remarkable example is Abell 370, a galaxy cluster, which comprises of several hundred assorted galaxies bound together by the collective pull of gravity.

The huge cluster, located 4 billion light-years away, was photographed in a blend of visible and near-infrared light. The largest and brightest galaxies in the cluster are the immense, yellow-white, elliptical galaxies each comprising of several hundreds of billions of stars. The spiral galaxies are bluish and have younger populations of stars.

Intertwined among the galaxies are strange-looking blue light arcs. These actually are distorted images of distant galaxies beyond the cluster. These remote galaxies are very vague for Hubble to see directly. However, the cluster functions as a massive lens in space which stretches and magnifies images of the galaxies behind like a funhouse mirror.

The huge gravitational field of the forefront cluster results in this phenomenon. The mutual gravity of the stars and other matter caught inside the cluster twists space and disturbs light passing toward earth through the cluster. This lensing-effect causes multiple images of almost a hundred remote galaxies.

Few Unknown Life Facts of Children’s Best Friend- Mr. Bean

All the children out there, how many of you missed Mr. Bean’s episodes? We expect none of you! Mr. Bean is a British sitcom created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, produced by Tiger Aspect Productions, and starring Atkinson as the title character.

Now there are so many hidden facts about Atkinson’s life that we are going to disclose for our readers. The veteran actor Atkinson originally received an EE master’s program at The Queen’s College Oxford in 1975. Before his masters, he had completed an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering (EE) at Newcastle University.

When Atkinson was working towards his degree he pursued acting on the side with a variety of clubs, such as the Oxford University Dramatic Society, the Oxford Revue, and the Experimental Theatre Club.

During the same time, the character of Mr. Beam was created. The purpose behind Mr. Bean’s Character was to show a “child in a grown man’s body”. This concept was based on similar brands of “physical humor” comedy portrayed by famous actors such as Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, and Jacques Tati (particularly the character of “Monsieur Hulot” portrayed by Tati).

With rapid changes in technologies the machines are replacing men at workplace as they insure accuracy in work and saves time. A set of habitual behaviour, cognitions and emotional activities that evolve from biological and environmental factors is called personality. As robots are coming into use at various business and work places the fear of losing the job has started tingling into our minds.

However, a research has shown that, there is nothing to worry, as robots can't perform as humans when it’s the question to have complex social interactions.  We humans can also beat machines when it comes to complete the tasks that require creativity and a high level of complexity that is not usual. Humans perform better in complex situation due to their flexibility.

A research has shown that people with higher level of intelligence, maturity and extraversion and higher interests in arts and sciences are tended to be selected into less computerized job in coming future. It is stressed that the education system must be equipped to face upcoming changes in the labour market, and fortunately it’s changing.  There are many fields who will allow the number of tasks that machines can perform better than humans, that merely increasing educational levels won't be enough to keep up with job automation rather one should be extra intelligent to prove his worth.

Recording and Animating of Dreams Will Change Future

34th Annual Conference of the International Association was conducted in Anaheim, California. The conference was on the Study of Dreams. Inspiring researchers and clinicians who have worked on the field of dreams witnessed this conference.

Daniel Oldis who is a lucid dreaming author and Social Dreaming Advisor at DreamsCloud presented his project on “Animating Dreams and Future Dream Recording”. This project aimed to establish a way for capturing and simulating motor behavior in dreams. The presentation on this project consist a demonstration of an iPad avatar animation. It was created out from real data of a sleeping participant. They also thought that their set up will reflect the movements of the participant’s dreaming body.

A lot of research on dream subject was able to establish that body movements in dreams are connected with real signals in the muscles of the sleeping body. The signals are those that appear in the same muscles that are involved in the dream behavior.

'Slow Motion' Earthquakes in New Zealand

An Earthquake is a natural phenomenon that occurs when sudden energy is released by earth. It typically causes great destruction, as a result of movements within the earth's crust or volcanic action. There is a kind of slow motion earthquake that occurs over days to weeks be considered to be able to bring great destruction, called a “Slow slip events.” A new study has revealed Kaikura earthquake with 7.8 magnitudes triggered a slow slip event on New Zealand's North Island. A few of the slow slip events occurred as far away as 300 miles from the earthquake. Kaikoura earthquake that hit the South Island of New Zealand in 2016 is considered the second largest quake that has ever been recorded with 7.8 magnitudes.

This type of fault is responsible for causing some of the world's most dangerous earthquakes. An area where a tectonic plate dives or "sub ducts" under an adjacent tectonic plate is termed as subduction zone. This type of fault causes some of the world's most powerful earthquakes, which occur when areas of built-up pressure between the tectonic plates fractures. Slow slip events resemble to earthquakes, as they involve more frequent than normal movement between two pieces of Earth's crust along a fault. Scientists are still trying to justify the relationships between slow slip events and earthquakes but it is clear that they are very powerful earthquakes.

It creates problem in repetitive behaviour, speech, understanding and nonverbal communication of the child.  A research has proven that the children whose mothers had taken 800 or more micrograms of folic acid, has comparatively lower risk of developing Autism. It is also important that mother should be away of pesticides and polluted area to avoid the disease in child. Mothers who took folic acid and were not exposed to pesticides during pregnancy then there had been lesser chance of developing Autism in the child. It is found by a research that being exposed to pesticides and having a lower level of folic acid at the time of conception of foetus invites autism in child. Folic acid helps in recreation of body cells that is essential to fight with autism. It also helps in DNA formation and repair. Autistic children always face trouble in performing their regular activities and communicating with others unlike normal children. This can be avoided by applying some regular precaution and by consuming a regular quantity of folic acid before and during pregnancy; however, it is not a 100% cure. High doses of folic acid helps improve brain function by overcoming the blockade and restoring normal foliate levels inside brain cells that minimizes the risk of autism.
