Brain Training Has No Improvement in Decision – Making Process

A study done by researchers found that commercial brain training with Lumosity had no effect on decision making process and cognitive function of brain. World witnessed a rising popularity of commercial brain training programs since last decade.

People adopt such training programs in their lives to increase their memory, attention and cognitive ability. Researchers at University of Pennsylvania found that no effect is generated from such rigorous brain training programs. The findings of this research are published in the Journal of Neuroscience. Researchers found that indulgence of people in such trainings reduces their chance of taking impulsive and risky choices. Brain training programs likely to refrain people from unhealthy habits like smoking or over eating.

The researchers performed their study over two groups each having 64 healthy young adults. One group was trained with Lumosity regime and the other followed same routine. The researchers found that training didn’t induce any changes in functioning and activities of brain.
