CANDIDATES CHOSEN FOR THE BWB GLOBAL CAMP

The National Basketball Association and the International Basketball Federation have announced their candidates selected for the third annual Basketball without borders (BWB) global Camp. This consists of 67 girls and boys from 32 different countries and territories. They will now travel to New Orleans where the camp will be conducted on February 17 to 19, as a part of the NBA All-Star 2017.

The New Orleans Pelicans’ Practice facility will be the camp’s venue. Nike will be its official partner. As a part of the girls’ and boy’s squads, Priyanka Prabhakara and Aashay Verma from India have been chosen to participate in the BWB Global Camp, respectively. Verma is a 17-year old 7 foot, 1-inch tall player from central India, while Prabhakara is a 5-foot 10 –inches tall player who comes from Kerala.

Brooks Meek, the NBA Vice President, and the International Basketball Operations & Head of Elite Basketball, said "The Basketball without Borders Global Camp is a great opportunity for the top male and female prospects from around the world to compete against one another, learn directly from NBA and FIBA players, legends and coaches, and experience the excitement of NBA All-Star.”
