Davis Cup Playoff Tie between India and Canada at Edmonton

The playoff tie between India and Canada for Davis Cup will be held at Edmonton. The dates to be saved are from September 15th to September 17th of this year. The team which is going to win will be promoted to World Group in 2018.
The Davis Cup World Group playoff tie of these two teams will be conducted in an indoor hard court in Northlands Coliseum, Edmonton. This is going to be the first meeting between these two countries. Canada is a seeded team which is ranked higher than India. It received the right to host the match through draw of lots.
To reach the playoffs round, India defeated Uzbekistan with 4-1 in Bangalore. India have a reason to be happy as they don’t have to face higher ranked countries such as Argentina, Germany and Czech Republic in the draw conducted In London.
