Fortune Favours Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram

 

The tenth day of RBCL started in favour of the players as the weather was partly cloudy. The day began with the match between the host school, Ramjas School, R.K. Puram and Mater Dei, in the Senior Girls’ Category. The game was tough for the host school as they were unable to score a point. Mater Dei won the match by 24 points.

The second match saw the Senior Boys’ of D.P.S, R.K. Puram and ITL fighting it out. It was nail biting match as the teams gave each other a close chase. In the end, ITL won the match by 16 points.

Mr. Ishwar, Coach, ITL said “I am very happy that my team has won the match and also very excited about the next match. I hope we win that also”.

The third match was between G.D. Goenka, Vasant Kunj and Amity International, Noida. Amity International won the match by 20 points.

Ananda from Amity International proudly bragged “We are really happy after winning this match. We had been looking forward to this match for so many days. Nothing else to say, we are excited for the next match”

The fourth match was between Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri and D.P.S, Vasant Kunj in the Junior Girls’ Category. D.P.S won the match by 15 points.

The fifth match was between Vasant Valley, Vasant Kunj and Queens Valley, Dwarka in the Senior Girls’ Category. It was an easy game for Queens Valley as they won the match by 17 points qualifying for the next round.

The sixth match was a battle of wits between ST. Xaviers and G.D. Goenka, Dwarka in Senior Boys’ Category. The boys played their level best. Finally, ST. Xaviers won the match by 10 points.

Mr. Mahesh, Coach, ST. Xaviers said on this occasion “I am really proud of my team. It was a tough match but my team showed team spirit and coped with each other.”

The seventh match was between D.P.S, R.K. Puram and Sachdeva Public School, Rohini in the Junior Boys’ Category .D.P.S, R.K. Puram won the match by 15 points.

The final match for the day was between D.P.S, R.K. Puram and K.R. Mangalam in the Senior Girls’ Category. D.P.S, R.K. Puram won the match by 27 points qualifying to the next round. Today was a lucky day for D.P.S, R.K. Puram as they won the match in Junior Boys’ as well as Senior Girls’ Category.
