Hockey India Selector B P Govinda Came Up With a Strong Opinion

Currently, Hockey India selector B P Govinda has stated during an interview that High-Performance Director David John will deliver better results than Roelant Oltmans as interim coach. This statement has come up after the Dutchman was sacked as chief coach of the men's national team following a series of unimposing showings.

Selector Govinda said that he is aware of David’s capability as well as knowledge. He further added that David will definitely deliver goods better than Oltmans in determining the team during the transitional period. During the interview, B P Govinda assured that he along with other team members is there to help Director David John.

As per the report by PTI, John will take charge of the men's team as interim coach after Oltmans. The reports showed that the decision was taken after a three-day meeting of the Hockey India High Performance and Development Committee. Now, John will be in charge of the team till an appropriate replacement is found for a level transition.
