Indian Hockey Team Secured a 4-3 Win against Austria

Team India has grabbed the first position by a 4-3 win against Austria in the last match of their Europe Tour in Amstelveen. Ramandeep Singh secured double goals (25’, 32’) and Chinglensana Singh Kanjugam (37’, 60’) saw India to win against the team Austria.

Team India wrapped up the tour with three wins and two loses. Team India did not stop after two successive wins against World No.4, The Netherlands.  The Indian hockey team made a solid start against Austria. Indian Hockey team started well and kept the control in their hands. However, team Austria took an early lead through Oliver Binder’s goal in the 14th minute to end the quarter 1-0.

During the match, India made compensation in the second quarter when they won a penalty corner in the 25th minute. Amit Rohidas pass the ball to Ramandeep Singh who deflected the ball into the circle to balance the score to 1-1. The 10-minute halftime break saw India come back into the game as a promising team with better attack. The headway came in when Ramandeep achieved a rollicking field goal in the 32nd minute.
