Indian Women Basketball Team Ready for FIBA Asia Cup

The Indian women basketball player is preparing themselves for the upcoming FIBA Asia Women's that is going to happen in July. The preliminary camp has begun at least four months before the prestigious tournament.

The duo of coach Paramdeep Singh and Shiba Maggon have shortlisted a handful of the country's finest women cagers who assembled to train at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

The officials also said that in Indore, they pruned a 44-member camp and now have set up base here in Bengaluru to begin our final stretch of preparations.

Head coach Paramdeep also added that they will leave for Chinese Taipei to compete in the William Jones Cup in June. However, the team should be focused on the FIBA championship, said the coach.

After a long time, India will host an international FIBA tournament with the Asia Women's Cup. It was n 2009 when India had hosted the match. The tournament will be starting from July 23-29 and the U-16 Women's Asian Championship from October 22-28, both of which will be held in Bengaluru.
