Panic Button: Mandatory for Human Safety

The Indian government has decided to keep the ‘Panic Button’ on the priority list for the safety of humans. As per the announcement the panic button will be mandatory for all cell phones to be used in India. The mandatory issue will be applied from January 1, 2017, onwards. With the help of this new decision, the users will be able to make an emergency call easily. Along with this, in 2018 putting an in-built GPS system in the mobile will be compulsory for every cell phone developers. The decision has been announced by the telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in an interview.

The telecom minister stated that the technology is exclusively destined to formulate human life better and what better than using it for the women security. Moreover, the Government has strictly ordered the mobile manufacturing companies that the smartphone should be sold in India with a safety panic button. The panic button should work by pressing the power button thrice, said the government officials.
