The Renowned Indian Journalist- Arnab Goswami

Arnab Ranjan Goswami was born in Guwahati, Assam on October 9, 1973. His father is Colonel (Retd.) Manoranjan Goswami and his mother is Suprabha Gain-Goswami. He owns a Bachelor's (Hons.) in Sociology from the Hindu College in Delhi University and a Master's degree in Social Anthropology from St. Antony's College in Oxford University.
Arnab is a well known Indian journalist and also a television news anchor. He is the managing director of the news channel Republic TV. Republic TV was founded by Arnab along with Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Arnab began his career in “The Telegraph” in Kolkata. In 1995, he shifted to NDTV 24x7. He was involved in anchoring daily newscasts, and reporting for News Tonight a programme telecast on DD Metro. Later, he hosted a show named “Newsnight” and won himself the Best News Anchor of Asia award in the 2004 Asian Television Awards. In 2006, he started working as the editor-in-chief and a news anchor of the Times Now news channel. He hosted shows like “the news hour”; and “Frankly Speaking with Arnab”. On November 1, 2016, he resigned from Times Now. On May 6, 2017, he launched his own news channel “Republic TV” along with Rajeev Chandrasekhar. He hosts shows such as “the Debate with Arnab Goswami”, and “Nation Wants To Know”. Arnab has time and again received criticism for his style of TV panel discussion. A defamation case was also filed by Shashi Tharoor against Goswami in connection with Republic TV's story concerning the death of Tharoor’s wife.
