Zero Link Between Calories Intake and Appetite

The scientists find no link between calories and appetite. As per the research, the scientists have found that there can be an urge for energy intake after a wholesome meal. The researchers have added that the food promised as having an appetite- improving properties does not change our calorie intake. The study was led by the scientists from the University of Sheffield in the UK.

The researchers have focused the light on health claims made by the food industry. The main concern of the scientists is to create awareness among people about the false commitments made by the food industry. According to the researchers, many products are advertised in such a way that attracts the customers especially those who are concerned about their weight.

The scientists from the University’s Department of Oncology and Metabolism evaluated 462 scientific studies for the results. However, in the results they examined that the appetite ratings failed to match with energy intake.
