Chess is a two-player strategy board game played on a chessboard, a checkered game board with 64 squares arranged in an eight-by-eight grid. Chess is played by millions of people worldwide, both amateurs and professionals.
The chess players can participates in state and national level tournaments for which a chess player should get registered by their national boards
especially if they are affiliated with the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) or World Chess Foundation – which is responsible for ranking players from all over the world
among many other things.
