Billabong High International School, Noida hosted its Annual Function 2016 And Announces Indo-German Student Exchange Program
Noida, 13th November - Billabong High International School, Noida (BHIS, Noida) the admired CBSE school organized their annual functions on 13thof November’ 2016. The function was graced by the presence of PROF. ABHISHEK MISHRA (Minister of Vocational and Skills Development, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh) and DR. R. GOPICHANDRAN (Director Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India).
The annual function ‘ABHIVYAKTI’ was a collection of events where all the learners of BHIS enthusiastically participated. The event began with a Sanskrit shloka where the learners deciphered their vocal devotion towards music and was followed by a musical and euphonious symphony where they showcased their vivaciousness by playing various musical instruments. It was followed by the announcement of the annual report by the Principal, Ms. Sharmila Chatterjee and the head council members who expressed the entire journey for excellence for the current academic session.
The cultural bonanza was dedicated to the great Bharat Ratna awardee late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam and the students of Billabong presented a ballet depicting the life journey of the great legend late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Ex-President India. The ballet witnessed a mixture of rhythmic presentations and a beautiful play depiction the jauntier of his life. The event finished with the vote of thanks to all the presented guests.
Speaking on the Occasion at Annual Function, Ms. Jasmine Gandhi, Director of BHIS & Kangaroo Kids said, “We are feeling proud and it's our honour to host our annual function. The function gives you a chance to witness the multiple talents of your own students. Their dedication & excellence towards function was commendable. By looking at these kids, we felt that we have nurtured them well and achieved what we are looking for and this is our highest rewards.”
Honourable guests Mr. Abhishek Mishra and Dr. R. Gopichandran showered many praises for the show put together by the learners of BHIS, Noida. They wished well for each & every child of the school. The function was also graced by other dignitaries from German Embassy and German students who are here in India as part of the Indo-German Student Exchange Program in collaboration with Carl Duisberg Gymnasium, Germany.
Ms. Gandhi further added, “We would also like to introduce our Indo- German Student Exchange Program in association with Carl Duisburg Gymnasium, Germany. We are happy to host the German delegates (the students & teachers) and look forward to offer an unique learning experience through the cultural exchanges and an explorative study on the project.”
The students from BHIS, Noida and CDG, Germany will work on the collaborative project “Critically analyzing the causes, consequences and solutions of river water pollution with examples from Yamuna and WupperRiver”. The programme would lend exposure on the Indian educational system, the culture and family values of both the countries to the learners. Total 11 students and 2 teachers from both the partner schools will host each other.
The Indian students shall visit Germany in the month of June, 2017. The German delegate will visit India from November 13th till 26th, 2016. German Students would get an opportunity to visit AES labs (Associated Engineering Solutions) Noida, to understand various analytical procedures related to water testing techniques. As a part of the project they shall also be conducting surveys in villages located along the rivers to understand the impact of water pollution. Educational and recreational trips to Rishikesh, Agra and Jaipur have been organized for the participants. To showcase the rich cultural heritage of India, the itinerary of the group includes a trip to the Akshardham Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort, QutubMinar, and Delhi Haat.
