Big Relief For Those Who Dislike Mathematics

Class 10th and 12th boards are a big cause of concern for students in India. These examinations hold a lot of importance. Not just students, but parents and teachers are equally concerned about these exams. Each and every student wants to perform his best in these exams and wishes to come out with flying colors. During these exams, support from parents and teachers is of immense importance.

Time and again the CBSE keeps bringing about changes and reforms in the pattern of these examinations. Lately, the CBSE board has introduced yet another change. Wide its circular, CBSE board has announced that from the 2020 session, there shall be 2 different mathematics examination question papers for class 10th. It will indeed offer a lot of relief to those who do not wish to pursue the subject in higher classes. There will be 2 sets of the question paper. These 2 papers will be of two different levels. One of these will be of Basic mathematics and the other will be of standard mathematics. All students shall be taught the same course in the classroom. There is absolutely no change in the curriculum, the only change that has been introduced is in the assessment. At the time of filing the LOC, the students will be given the choice of opting mathematics basic or mathematics standard. Mathematics basic is for those who do not wish to pursue the subject in higher classes and mathematics standard is for those who wish to pursue the subject in higher classes. If a student fails in the level chosen by him, he/ she can re appear in the compartment exam by choosing the same level or the lower level. In simple words, if a student fails in the mathematics basic exam, he will have to reappear for mathematics basic only, on the contrary, if one has failed in the mathematics standard exam, he will have a choice to either reappear in the same exam or chose the mathematics basic exam. Also, if a student clears the mathematics basic exam and wishes to pursue the subject in future, he may opt to appear for mathematics standard exam during the compartmental examinations. This shall definitely reduce the stress that the students experience during the boards. CBSE should indeed come up with more such effective measures and reforms in future so that the students enjoy their studies rather than stressing about it.
