Editorials News | Jul-27-2017
Most of the people are aware of the disadvantages of irregular eating habits. However, are they aware that unsuitable eating timing can also affect the health? Yes! You read it right! Recently, a scientist has done a study to know that eating at a time' affects body weight as well as circadian rhythms.
A new highly accurate feeding system for lab mice support the idea that the time of day food is eaten is more critical to weight loss than a number of calories ingested.
During the study, the scientists also analyzed that mice on a reduced calorie plan that ate only during their normal feeding cycle were the only ones among five groups to lose weight. The scientists also noticed that despite consuming the same amount as another group fed during their rest time in daylight the first group lost weight and calories.
The study happened at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The researchers also suggested that that dieting will only be effective if calories are consumed during the daytime when we are awake and active. Additionally, eating at the wrong time at night will not lead to weight loss even when dieting.
