India Vs South Africa: Test Match

India won the toss in the ongoing three-match series against South Africa and Virat Kohli led team opted to bat first on the opening day of the second Test, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Having registered a crushing 203-run win over South Africa in the opening Test in Visakhapatnam, Virat Kohli-led India will look to continue their winning momentum and seal the three-match series with one game left to play when the two sides clash into the second match.
In the first match India dominated South Africa in all fields. Rohit Sharma marked his debut in a Test match as the opener with two double centuries --176 and 127.
Along the way to his century Rohit Sharma smashed a number of records becoming 1st Indian batsman to score tons in all three formats as opener, fourth batsman from India to score a hundred opening the innings in a test match and second Indian batsman after former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid to notch up six straight fifty-plus scores on home soil.
While Sharma's opening partner Mayank Agarawal became the second Indian opener to score Test double hundred against South Africa with a 215-run knock in the first innings, bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami also illustrated intense endeavor to help India extend their win record in the ICC World Test Championship.
In order to keep them alive in the series South Africa, will be keen to bounce back and win the second match, the second Test between India and South Africa will also mark Kohli's 50th match as the Test captain.
India is sitting pretty on top of the ICC World Test Championship with 160 points and has further chances to bolster their position. That away victories were more hard to come by and hence, should be given more recognition, India skipper said that it's time to let Rohit Sharma enjoy his batting when he opens the innings if he does that, India will be in winning situations more often than not in Test cricket.
