Nuclear War Can Bring Global Famine

The concept of the nuclear winters lies in a years-long planetary freeze that is brought on by airborne soot which is further generated by nuclear bombs that has been around for decades, but due to such speculations, there have been seen that largely on back-of-the-envelope some calculations involve a total war between the areas of Russia and the United States. Now, there has been witnessed a new multinational study that incorporates the latest models of global climate, cropping production and also some trades examine the possible effects of a less gargantuan but they more likely to exchange between two long times nuclear-armed enemies which are India and Pakistan. It also suggests that even a limited war between the two that they would cause an unprecedented planet-wide shortage of food and probably starvation that lasts more than a decade. The study has also appeared this week in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Of all these estimated 14,000 nuclear warheads worldwide which are almost close to 95 per cent denote to the United States and Russia. Others, India and Pakistan are perceived to have about 150 each. The study has also examined the potential effects if they were to each set off the deadly 50 Hiroshima-size bombs that are less than 1 per cent of the estimated world arsenal.

In addition to this the direct deaths and destruction, the learned authors have said that firestorms follow the bombings and would launch some 5 million tons of soot that will be towards the stratosphere.
