Editorials News | Aug-05-2018
Shai Reshef has found a system of education that would help a lot of students have college degrees irrespective of their monetary status and where they have come from. He founded University of People in 2009 as a non-profit distance learning institution for higher education. The institute offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Administration, business and health sciences. The time was perfect to use online learning space which was accessible and affordable for everyone, according to Shai. The University has given all the students an opportunity to pursue their interest by overcoming personal, political, geographical and political constraints.
The University has helped over 15000 people from more than 200 countries to fulfill their university education dream and move forward with their career. Studying at UoPeople is definitely worth it. The university appoints some very reputed college professors like those from Harvard, Oxford, NYU to register for their classes. They can learn and ask questions real-time. The degree is well-recognised in the country but you should check the validity of it in your own country before taking up any course.
Reshef's inspiration came from his own childhood where he was taught the importance of hard work, education and giving to others. He has worked hard in the field of educational entrepreneurship for over 25 years to fulfill his dream.
