With the help of ALMA (Atacama Large Millimetre/submillimetre Array) observatory, the scientists have observed a newly formed solar system.
Scientists from the Niels Bohr Institute have named this star ‘protostar’. Additionally, the scientists have also found strong consequence of whirlwinds and outflows, known as jets. However, this study has been claimed as unique and special one as nobody had observed winds and formation of stars earlier, said the scientists.
The scientists explained the process of solar system formation in which they added that a new solar system is formed by a huge cloud and gas. Gradually, the gas and cloud contract and condenses due to the force of gravity. Eventually, the outcome of this contract becomes solid that the centre collapses into a ball of gas. The process where the pressure heats the solid material results in a glowing globe of gas, a star. Furthermore, the leftover gas and dust cloud rotate around the newly formed star in the disc that turns out to be planets, said the scientists.
