Glimpse of Nutrition Workshop At Guru Harkrishan Public School By Aarohi Tyagi

G.H.P.S. Punjabi Bagh organised a workshop on the topic ‘Food and Health’ on Feb 5, 2019, for classes 9 and 11 in collaboration with Fairgaze. The resource person was Mrs. Aarohi Tyagi, a nutritionist. Students were made aware of main nutrients in food and their importance for the body. Through focused lecture and audiovisual media children were informed about the harms of junk food and the benefits of a balanced diet for a healthy body. The importance of exercise was also emphasized. The workshop was conducted in an interactive and fun-filled manner. A word-Search strengthened the concept and made the workshop interesting


Journalism Workshop at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Punjabi Bagh

A #Journalismtraining session was organized at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Punjabi Bagh where students were taught about the basics of journalism. They were imparted with the knowledge of content writing and various aspects of reporting. It was an interactive and fruitful session for both the student journalists and PROs.

The GHPS Society organized a Summer Camp "Gurmat" in all the 12 branches of Guru Harkrishan Public School. The word "Gurmat" explains out all about the Summer Camp as ‘Gur’ means wisdom and ‘Mat’ means belief. The Camp was based on learning the norms, ethics, culture and tradition of Sikhism. Various activities like Turban Tying, Language Learning, Shahad Recitation, Gatka, Motivational Talk, Folk Song etc. were performed by the students. The motive of the camp was to bring the students close to the pure essence of tradition and divinity through fun based activities.
