‘Gyan Utsav 2018’ - Annual Day Celebration At Gyan Mandir Public School

Gyan Mandir Public School celebrated its Annual Day ‘Gyan Utsav 2018’ on Saturday, 29th December, 2018 with great zest, vibrancy and jubilation. Swami Shantatmananda ji, Head, Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Veenu Bansal, DCP, Traffic, New Delhi Range; Ms. Suneeti Tuteja, Director, FSSAI; Dr. B.C. Sabata, Senior Scientific Officer, Department of Environment, Govt. Of NCT, Delhi, alumni members and many other eminent dignitaries also graced the occasion with their benign presence.

The programme commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Honourable Chief Guest. Then the exuberant angels of Pre Primary Department presented a mellifluous rendition of English song ‘We are the saviour of the earth’.

Then the resplendent dancers invoked the blessings of Lord Shiva through ‘Shiv Vandana’. Thereafter the talented students   enthralled everyone with the scintillating dance drama ‘Prakriti Kare Pukar’ in which they depicted the plight of Mother Nature. They conveyed the message to conserve trees, to keep the environment clean and also to be the change we want to see in the world through captivating drama and mesmerising dances. The presentation touched the hearts of the audience and left everyone spellbound.

"Children are indeed our true diamonds. They sparkle with enthusiasm, zest and energy. Let the little ones blossom and act as catalyst for change," said the venerable chief guest while addressing the august gathering.

The meritorious students were felicitated for their outstanding performance.

Manya Narang (Singer - Indian Idol Season 9), an alumnus of Gyan Mandir Public School, also rocked the stage with her stupendous performance.

The event, an amalgamation of talent, creativity, values and entertainment, was a huge success as more than 700 students from classes Pre-Nursery to twelfth dazzle the audience.
