World Health Day Celebrated At Little Flowers International School

Little Flowers International School celebrated World Health Day on 6th April, 2019, Saturday in school.

School Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Mahajan paid a call on to all the grades through mass assembly to highlight the significance of good health and well-being and persuaded the children to have a healthy diet. It was a unique experience to come together for one day to promote actions that can improve our health. The students celebrated by giving speeches marking the importance of the day.

Book Fair At Little Flowers International School

In remembrance of our Bade Sirji Sh. D.R. Patel who was a keen reader and believed that reading has tremendous power when it comes to fueling the development of all aspects of one’s life, Little Flowers International School in collaboration with Scholastic India organized a book fair from 24-12-18 to 29-12-18 at D.R. Patel Auditorium engaging the students in the enchanting world of books to inculcate reading habits among the children and to create lifelong readers. The fair was inaugurated by school Chairman Mr. Rajesh Dua and it brought along a wide treasure trove of age-appropriate books that empowered the children of all ages to select the books that they would like to read, thus igniting a passion for reading in them. The teachers equally helped the children in selecting the books. Our Founder Director Ma’am Mr. C.M. Patel also visited the fair and guided the students about the value and importance of books. To add value to the fair, a lot of activities like drawing competition, bookmark making, poem recitation were organized. Students also demonstrated a skit on the Importance of Books. Students very enthusiastically participated in all the activities and their effort was appreciated by School Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Mahajan who also motivated them to make books as their best friends. The opportunity to browse books out of so many varieties and in a large number at a time was a wonderful experience for the children and parents who had come to attend the PTM. Their was a lucky draw held every day among the students who have brought books and the winner was awarded with special books given by School co-ordinator Mrs. Bhavna thus bringing the excitement for books among the students.

Martyr’s Day Celebration -  Inter House Poem Recitation

Little Flowers International School celebrated Martyr’s Day on 30th January, 2019, Wednesday, to instil among the students the respect for sacrifices and gallant efforts made by Indians for the pride and honour of nation. The day was observed by a Special Assembly to mark the occasion of Martyrs Day where an Inter House Poem Recitation competition was conducted amongst the students of classes I to V. The students exhibited their love for the country through mesmerizing poems. The event was graced with the presence of School Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Mahajan who welcomed the participants and conveyed their best wishes for the competition.

In the end, Jasmine, Lily and Lotus House bagged the first position, followed by Pancy, Rose and Daisy House at the Second place.

Road Safety Conducted At Little Flowers International School

The 30th Road Safety Week was observed with much verve by the students of Little Flowers International School from 4th Feb to 10th Feb, 2019. School conducted a series of activities to focus attention on the importance of observing traffic rules in order to prevent accidents on the roads which take away thousands of precious lives every year across India. The theme for the special week this year was “Sadak Suraksha- Jeevan Raksha”. The students actively participated in activities like speech, Poster making competition, quiz, skit and story writing activity. School Chairman, Mr. Rajesh Dua and Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Mahajan motivated students to follow traffic rules. The students participated enthusiastically in all activities and shared information to spread awareness on increasing road accidents and how to avoid them. Teachers of Nursery and KG classes taught the students about Traffic light, zebra crossing and road safety.

Students of class I and II presented a skit on Road Safety illustrating some safety rules and road signs. It clearly laid down the importance of following safety rules and road signs.  School Co-ordinator, Mrs. Bhavna Arora shared her views on the importance of safety rules.

The students of classes III and IV made catchy posters bringing home the point of Road safety. Students of classes V and VI gave speeches highlighting the event. An inter class quiz competition was held amongst class VII students. Situation based story writing activity for class VIII and IX students was also a part of this event. At last all students pledged to follow safety rules as they are the torch bearers of the nation.

Little Flowers International School celebrated Dussehra on 16th October, 2018, Tuesday to make the tiny tots aware of the victory of good over evil. Teachers of Nursery and K.G. class prepared a beautiful glimpse of different scenes of Ramayana with the students being dressed up in colourful attires of Ramayana characters. Students of class I and II presented a skit based on Ramayana. Props, costumes and students’ performance was electrifying. School Chairman Mr. Rajesh Dua and Co-ordinator Mrs. Bhavna appreciated the performance of students and also guided by giving a speech on Dussehra. The event ended on a happy note with kids getting rewards for their vibrant performances.

Eco Friendly Diwali Celebration

“Let this Diwali burn all your bad times and enter you in good times.”
The celebration of Diwali ,'The festival of lights' came alive at Little Flowers International School on 11th of November 2018, Monday, when the whole school wore a festive look with Diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors and the auditorium in bright colours. Students of class III presented a majestic Ganesha Dance followed by Diya dance by tiny tots of Nur & KG class bringing out the essence of Diwali. Students of class IX presented a skit on “Say no to Crackers” sensitizing the students about the ill effects of crackers. Students of class VI presented a mesemerising Rajasthani dance performance with katputli and manjira followed by sufi kalam by melodic student singers of the school. The last of all was the Ramayan Ballet by class IV students bringing out the significance of Diwali by presenting story of Lord Ram conquering Rawan. The programme concluded with our Bade Ma'am Smt. C.M. Patel giving away the message of a clean, peaceful and a bright Diwali.
Also the School carried out a Rally on 3rd November 2018 bringing out the importance of GREEN DIWALI. The students marched around the school raising slogans and had an eco friendly Diwali.

Vigilance Awareness Week

Vigilance Awareness Week

Little Flowers International School observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 29th October to 3rd November 2018 in school premises. Corruption is a social evil and it is widespread. It has an adverse effect on the development of a nation; it needs to be eradicated so as to ensure prosperity of the nation and quality of life to its citizens. This year’s theme was ‘Eradicate Corruption-Build a New India’. To fight against corruption various activities were carried out in order to make this programme a success. Starting with the morning assembly all students took an Integrity Pledge with School Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Mahajan and Co-ordinator Mrs. Bhavna. The school organized several competitions at different levels to create awareness on vigilance in public life. An Essay writing competition for Class VII students, slogan writing competition for Class IX and speech for Class X students was conducted. The objective of the programme was to stop corruption in future and make the students honest and responsible citizens of India.

Iron Man of India’s freedom struggle, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, lent his steely strength to India’s consolidation after Independence, in full measure. A new nation was born. The challenge of protecting its unity was evident. With amazing skill, the Sardar accomplished the task, and became Architect of the Unified India. On 31st October 2018, Wednesday, Little Flowers International School celebrated his birth anniversary as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, rejoicing over his precious legacy. Students of class IX and X took pledge in the morning assembly with School Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Mahajan and Co-ordinator Mrs. Bhavna, thereafter all students wrote a paragraph on “Contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for National Unity” in their classes. The teachers  motivated students to walk on the footsteps of the Iron Man of India Sardar Patel.

SUPW,Science and Mathematics Model Exhibition

Little Flowers International School organized a SUPW, Science and Mathematics Model Exhibition to promote participatory and hands-on learning in Science on 5th September, 2018, Wednesday. The activity aims at providing a common platform to students to give shape to their innovative ideas and learn from each other’s experiences. The theme of this year’s exhibition was “Scientific Solutions for Challenges in Life”. The exhibits were indeed eye openers on various topics related to Agriculture and Organic Farming, Resource Management, Waste Management, Transport and Communication, Mathematical Modeling. Demonstrations and explanations were given by the participants. The panel of judges comprised of School Chairman Mr. Rajesh Dua, Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Mahajan, and Co-ordinator Mrs. Bhavna. With an endeavor to promote scientific attitude among budding young students, this exhibition was one of its kind. Both the participants and the winners were applauded and rewarded with gifts. The judges congratulated the winners and remarked that Science is a blessing but should be used with discretion. Students accepted the feedback with scope for further development.

Radha Krishnan Memorial National Teacher Award-2018 in a grand ceremony held at Constitution Club of India on 4th September, 2018. She was honoured for her great contribution in the field of education and enriching the society with her genuine efforts. The function was organized by Akhil Bhartiya Swantantra Patrakar avom Lekhak Sangh.
One of the biggest events of Education Industry worldwide, the GLOBAL TEACHER CONGRESS AND AWARDS 2018 was held on 16th September 2018 to honour great educators.
School Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Mahajan has been awarded GLOBAL TEACHER AWARD 2018 for her distinguished contribution in the field of Education, leadership. She is strong and focused and holds respect for all students, teachers and staff.

First aid saves lives. It is for everyone, everywhere.
Little Flowers International School celebrated World First Aid Day on 13th September, 2018, Thursday to raise awareness of how first aid can prevent injuries and save lives in everyday and crisis situations, as well as at promoting the accessibility of the first aid. The day marked various activities performed by students and teachers of classes Nur to IInd. Students of class Ist and IInd made First Aid Boxes. The teachers showed them videos related to First Aid usage and guided them about the use of general medicines. The tiny tots of nursery and KG class learnt the use of first aid.

Handwash day & Personal Hygiene Day (Swatchhta Pakhwada) ‘Our Hands, Our Future’

Little Flowers International School celebrated handwash day and personal hygiene day as a part of Swatchhta Pakhwada on September 7th, 2018 to promote the benefits and practice of hand washing with soap, as well as fostering access to and improving hygiene facilities. In the morning Assembly School Vice Principal Mrs. Anita Mahajan addressed the students about the importance of hand washing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives. Students from the primary classes were taught how to wash their hands in a proper manner. All the students washed hands with soap and learnt to make hand washing a habit.
