Two Minutes Silence At The Mann School For Indian Army Soldiers

Our great soldiers who work fearlessly for days and nights at the border are the people of the highest gratitude to be paid. Recently, our 44 CRPF soldiers died at Pulwama and all the citizens of India were in grief. A special assmebly was conducted by The Mann School Management, where the students showed their love, respect and grief towards the Indian Army soldiers who had lost thier lives with two mintues silence in the school premises.

Tv Ad Flim Shoot At The Mann School

Delhi, Sunday, 10th February, 2019: Shooting of a TV Ad film was done in one of the most popular schools of Delhi, The Mann School situated in Holambi Khurd Village, Delhi. The well-known film actors 'Manoj Bakshi' and 'Sushil Tyagi' acted in this Ad film under the direction of renowned director 'Mr. Rajeev Sharma'. During this Ad Shoot actor and producer Sunny Rathore, Principal of The Mann School, Commander VK Banga, Owner of Leminex company Mr. Pankaj Malhotra  were also present. School staff and students also enjoyed the time spent in shooting TV Ad film. All of them learnt various tactics of acting and direction skills with great degree of enthusiasm. They also got a clear view about the importance and technology of using chroma floors to make any feature film. The actors who visited The Mann School to shoot TV Ad film appreciated the facilities and hospitality of The Mann School.

ALL INDIA THE MANN SCHOOL SILVER JUBILEE MASTER 26, 2018

‘The Sixth All India The Mann School Silver Jubilee MASTER 26, 2018 was organized on October 31, 2018. The competition was presided over by Dr Geetanjali Singh Chanda, an Associate Professor, English Literature, Ashoka University. The competition began soon after the formal floral welcome of the Chief Guest and lamp lightning. Two participants from 22 schools each including Mayo College Ajmer, Saranbasweshwar School, Karnataka, RIMC Dehradun, Sainik School Ghorakhal, Sainik School Nagrota, Sainik School, Chittorgarh, The Emerald Heights, MNSS Rai, Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet and the schools from Delhi- NCR besides other parts of the country took part in the competition. After grueling for five rounds, Siddhant Chandra Upadhyay from Mayo College Ajmer was declared Runner Up. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5100/-.and Ajitesh Tayal from Ahlcon International School, Delhi lifted the glittering trophy for his school and a personal reward of cash prize of Rs. 11,000/, a gift voucher worth Rs. 25,000/- along with a memento and a certificate as he was declared the ‘CHAMPION MASTER-26, 2018.

It is an extremely proud moment for The Mann School as The Mann School ranks 12th in India as a Day- Cum Boarding School. It has been announced by Education World Ranking 2018. The Chairman of the school, Mr. Joginder Singh Mann and the Principal of the school, Commander V.K. Banga were felicitated in a conference by Education World Ranking.

Young Mozart’, an Inter-House Instrumental Concert was organized on 18th September, 2018 at The Mann School. 48 to 50 students performed their skills on more than 20 instruments including synthesizer, xylophone, dhol, sitar, able, mandolin and santoor etc. Every house performed on more than three 3 ragas including folk and western music in 45 minutes allotted to them. The competition comprised of four categories i.e. solo, jugalbandi, trio and group. Mr. Goldy, renowned music director and composer and Mr. Ashwini Kumar able maestro, judged the competition. They appreciated the participants, their parents and the school which supports them. The runners up trophy introduced by Pracheen Kala Kendra under the name of Guru M.L Koser, founder Pracheen Kala Kendra was lifted by Dayanand House. Vyas House bagged the beautiful Young Mozart Trophy. The students were excited to win recognition and applauses by the audience and the judges. Principal, the Mann School, Cdr. V.K Banga, presented a memento to the Chief Guest and praised the efforts of the teachers and the budding musicians.

To rest, relax and chill out after the final examination, the students from class 3rd to 5th visited ‘Just Chill Water & Fun Park’ – Delhi on April 26, 2018. They had a pleasurable experience of activities like gaming, roller coaster ride and rain dance.
A radiant smile on the faces of children was the key to the fun filled trip organized by the ‘Eduventure Club’ of the school.

ENGLISH POEM RECITATION COMPETITION

To instill confidence among the students along with the accuracy inthe verbal skills, an Inter House English Poem Recitation Competition was organized for the students of the primary wing on April 28, 2018.
Three participants from each house represented their house in the competition. They performed with gusto which won appreciation from the audience. Individual honors won were as follows: RajkumariVedantika Sati stood first followed by Shubhika Yadav and Harshita Rana respectively. Dayanand house bagged the first position followed by Vyas and Buddha.

The school held the Investiture Ceremony on May 17, 2018. The deserving young talents of the school were conferred with the responsibility of leading theschool.The Principal, Housemasters and Wardens pinned badges on the new appointees. Oath of office was administered to the new school captainShivam Gupta and other appointees.
The Principal congratulated the newly appointed Captains and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. He guided them to be a true sportsman and to be fair enough in their selection fotheteam for different sports activities.

The concept of importance of May Day was interpreted to Mapsians on the International Labour Day celebrated by the school on May 1, 2018. A special morning assembly was conducted highlighting the importance of dignity of labour. World Dance Day was celebrated to show the spirit of world’s cultural integrity. Various dance forms from  Sri Lanka,  South Africa, Cuba, Nagaland and Punjab were performed by the school students in the auditorium.

MAPSIANS WALKED AWAY WITH INNOVATION FEST

The prestigious Innovation Festival; a national level competition was organized by the NSC for the young, budding and aspiring scientists of our country. The competition was opened to all categories and the participants were from various elite schools and IITs. The two times consecutive winner of the ‘Innovation Fest’, The Mann School participated this year as well.  Mr. Rajesh Vashishtha and his team of 10 students were selected by the selecting committee after going through the Synopsis of their innovative project ‘THE SAVIOURS’ aiming to focus on disaster management and sustainable development.

The MAPSIANS prepared three projects which were selected as the outstanding projects of the fair by the jury consisted of eminent scientists of our country. The selected projects were approved and accepted with accolades. Among the budding scientists from all over the country, The Mann School stole the show by their innovative projects and presentations. ‘The safe techniques and technologies in Chemistry Labs (for disaster management) was the initiative of Mr. Rajesh Kumar Vashishtha. StanzinAngmo and Vansh prepared ‘Human body incinerators (ecological and environment)’ and Shivam Gupta and Jasmine designed ‘Electrical theft monitoring system (sustainable development).

NehalJora and Harsh Prakash got first prize for their project focusing on the environmental protection safeguarding the natural resources which they explained in connectivity to “The Saviours” (the safe techniques and technology). Bhoomi Sharma received the second prize as she inspired the visitors by explaining the noble thoughts of supreme sacrifice and eternity. She made replica of “The Amar JawanJyoti” and connected beautifully with the project ‘Human Body Incinerators’. 

‘Electrical Theft Monitoring’ project made by Jasmine and Shivam Gupta was upgraded by the judges from Category B to Category A. They were awarded with a cash prize along with StanzinAngmo and Vansh for their project.

The entire team of MS bagged six trophies along with cash reward by Dr. ChandrimaShaha (Vice President INSA & former Director National Institute of immunology, Delhi) for becoming consecutively three times winner of THE INNOVATION FESTIVAL.

MAPSIANS HOSTED GERMANS FOR STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM

The Mann School hosted a student-exchange program with a school in Germany and contributed in strengthening the Indo-German ties. The students of the host school had visited Stadtisches Gymnasium Gutersloh, Germany earlier this year. In reciprocation, a team of 21 students, two teachers visited The Mann School for 10 days.

The students visited monuments and historical sites at Agra, Jaipur and Delhi during their stay at the school. They appreciated the rich culture and traditions of India and enjoyed capturing the beautiful moments. They adored Indian cuisine and art and crafts of our country. They tried their hands on pottery and tie and dye, which is a traditional art of printing. The inclination of girls towards Indian outfits couldn’t stop them buying and draping sarees and lavish themselves with an  ethnic. The exchange program gave them an exposure to the education system, culture and the way of life in India.

Lohri was also celebrated during their stay at The Mann School campus which was an amalgamation of Indo–German cultures. They lauded the Indian dances and couldn’t resist themselves from dancing on the beats of dhol.

The success of this exchange program was evident from the deep bonding between Indian and German students which culminated in a tearful farewell on the last day of their stay.
