 Asian Wrestling Championships: Wrestler Jyoti Brings Bronze Medal for India

India has got a bronze medal in Indian wrestling Championships by wrestler Jyoti. She has been awarded with the medal in women's 75kg category while three other Indian wrestlers reach bronze medal playoffs.

Earlier India has achieved one bronze medal on the opening day of the Senior Asian Wrestling Championships. However, this time Jyoti has made it to the semi-final and showcased women power to the nation.

Even though the Indian wrestler had lost her semi-final session to Masako Furuichi of Japan, she will still receive a bronze medal without having to compete in the bronze medal play-off.

As per the reports, Jyoti had no competitor in her draw.  Before this, she had defeated Seoyeon Jeong of Korea 5-1 in the quarter-final. Besides, India entered three more wrestlers in the bronze medal play-offs in two different styles on the second day of the tournament. The second day of the tournament had happened at the KD Jadhav Indoor stadium in New Delhi.
