Dogs are called the best friend of man and most popular companion animal who has an amazing sniffing capacity. There are many instances present in the world where dogs have been proven amazingly beneficial in various activities. Sniffers dogs are a globally accepted animal that is used by security forces.
A report published by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) reflects that thousands of dogs are used for “research, testing, or experimentation” in the U.S. every year, at various places. There are so many carnivores’ species that have either vanished or have come to an end because of man-made activities. According to a new study of Washington University in St. Louis, reclusive jaguars, pumas, bush dogs and other endangered carnivores are trying to be protected by Scat-sniffing research dogs with the help of scientists by mapping out a plan. They are planning to make a cost- effective plan for the development of a multispecies biological corridor which will be connected to the protected areas in the Upper Parana Atlantic Forest Region of Misiones, Argentina.
These all are to make a safe habitat for them. But implementing these plans will not be possible without the help of local government and people. Search of carnivores' presence across a broad swath of north-eastern Argentina have been done using trained dogs. The corridors are made to fulfil their needs.
