Don’t Miss Out the Bahu Mela in Jammu & Kashmir

The fair is organized at the beautiful Bahu Fort in Jammu & Kashmir. It is one of the biggest festivals of the Hindus but people from all age groups, caste and community participate in it. It is organized during the Ramnavami and people celebrate it with fun and joy.
The Bahu Fort is a worship place of Goddess Kali. It is believed that Goddess Kali is very powerful and can end all human sufferings. That’s why people gather here to seek her blessings and also enjoy the mela. The fort is constructed at Tawi River by Raja Bahulochan. The festival happens twice a year. One is celebrated during March and April and other is celebrated during September- October.
Lot of people visits this fort on Tuesdays and Sundays. This mela is an exciting fun filled fair for children. One can do a lot of shopping, have different meals, enjoy rides, explore natural beauty of lake and can talk to different communities.
