Praises For Young Tennis Players

Coach of Spanish team Antonio Martinez has praised Indian tennis team. On his visit to Chandigarh, along with Miguel Diaz the newly designated President of REFT he noticed Spanish team winning over India last week.

 

 While practicing with the Indian team Coach Martinez also showed the technique of ‘serve and drop shots’ to them. According to the report 57 years old tennis Coach Martinez spent more than 30 minutes in the coaching camp.

 

Martinez has also trained former world’s number one ‘Juan Carlos Ferrero’ for more than 22 years. While sharing more inputs with the trainees Martinez praised young tennis players such as Sumit Nagal and R Ramkumar for the bravery shown in last week’s Davis Cup held in New Delhi.

 

He added in his statement that Indian players are talented and have great technique however they need to give their 100 percent more to the game. Coach also emphasized on increasing the number of professional coaches for tennis players.

 

He also said, “India needs more tennis clubs and more tennis coaches for young players”.
