Book Banks: A Big Initiative for Children

Government is trying a lot since a long time to announce certain measures to reduce the number of books being printed. They are deliberately finding ways to involve students in these measures and preserve environment.
Punjab Government has decided to establish book banks in an effort to minimize wastage of papers. These banks will be established in every school of Punjab. There were various NGOs who were already running these book banks. Now, the same NGOs have participated in the initiative to help needy children. Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary said that these banks will save precious time and money of students.
Education Minister also added by saying that she requests all the children to submit their old books. These books will be given to needy children free of charge. She concluded by saying that this initiative will be done voluntarily. No student will be bound to donate their old books.
