India won against Kenya by 3-0 at a packed Mumbai football arena. Chhetri was quite happy to see the response to his plea to support football in India. He was playing his 100th international match against Kenya. Sunil Chhetri's appeal went viral on social media a few days before the match. The appeal led to 2569 fans turning up to watch the national team play. A total of 7000 tickets were sold completely due to his video appeal.
