Innovation Challenge That Reduce Pollution

Delhi has got 3 winners, who won the challenge conducted by the University of Chicago and the Delhi government. ‘Urban Labs Innovation Challenge: Delhi’ was unique and one of its kind. The competition was aimed to get innovative ideas to reduce pollution in the capital. The Chakr Innovation Pvt. Ltd. got the first position. Their projects were capable of tracking over 70% of pollution and convert it to black paints and ink.

The second rank was a tie between Climate Foundation and Tide Technology Pvt. Ltd. The second price winner device was capable of turning rice straw into biochar. Biochar is good for agricultural soil as well as it reduces heavy air pollution that occurs with rice straw burning.

Mahila Housing SEWA Trust is the third position holder. They have planned to organize cool roofing solutions in the Delhi slums. The future project is aimed to provide a better and quality life to the poor. Their project reduces the indoor temperature while allowing the residents to conserve energy for their future development.
