Working Conditions

A full time illustrator or designer works in many different industries like wholesale and retail, advertising, manufacturing, and publishing. One has to work for forty- hours in a week in the studios. The freelance illustrators and designers have more flexible working hours and the illustrators usually spend a great deal of time marketing their services and establishing a reputation.

M.F. Hussain

He was internationally recognised painter and founding member of Bombay Progressive Artists' Group. His most notable work was the film Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities.

Amrita Shergill

She was an Hungarian-Indian painter who was well-known for her oil painting of Young Girls that she made when she was just 19. She died at the age of 29 but her paintings are still one of the most expensive among the Indian woman painters.
