Educational Qualifications
- There are two types of entries in order to become a pilot in Indian Airforce - NDA Entry: 10 + 2 male students with Mathematics and Physics as their subjects can apply provided they are between 16 1/2 Yrs -19 Yrs of age and are unmarried. - CDSE Entry: A qualified graduate or a final-year B.E/B. Tech in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10 +2 level can apply through CDSE if he/she is unmarried and between 19-23 Yrs of age. - In short, age should not be below 23 years and a candidate should at least achieve 60% in aggregate

Courses to be pursued
- - After Class XI/XII (with PCM) students can apply for the Student Pilot License - On passing Class XII (PCM) they may enroll for the next license - Private Pilot License - On getting the PPL training begins for Commercial Pilot License Training in commercial flying can be taken with Flying clubs

Working Conditions
On an average, an airline pilot works for 75 hours per month and about 150 hours per month while performing to additional responsibilities including checking weather conditions and flight plans. Work schedule is however variable for pilots including several hours of work followed by 3/4 offs. However, work conditions vary for pilots.
