Polymer Engineer

Polymer engineering is an engineering field that generally designs, analyses, or modifies polymer materials. This particular field covers aspects of the petrochemical industry, polymerization, structure and characterization of polymers, properties of polymers, compounding and processing of polymers and description of major polymers, structure property relations and applications. Polymer engineers work in the realm of developing or testing plastics or related equipment and processes. These engineers may develop new polymers, manage a lab, manage projects and processes, or design equipment.
