A surgeon is an expert who treats disease, injury or deformation through surgeries and operations. They use manual methods to physically change body tissues and surgeons have also started using other methods like scopes and lasers.
Surgeons work long irregular hours and they work for about 60 hours per week. Surgeons analyze illnesses and prescribe and administer check-ups for people suffering from any injury or disease. They work in well-equipped and well lighted rooms where sanitization is kept in mind while performing any surgery.
Denton Cooley is one of the biggest names in the world of Cardiovascular surgeries. He has received his undergraduate and medical degree from Texas University and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. When Cooley first performed his artificial heart transplant in a human being, since then he started achieving success in his life. Later, he became the founder and Chairman of Texas Heart Institute.
Russell M. Nelson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and did his MD from the same. His groundbreaking success was when Nelson and his colleagues invented the first heart lung machine. This machine allowed the first open heart surgical procedure in the world in 1951.
