Orientation: School Champs For Climate Action campaign

FairGaze, in partnership with United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan (UNIC), is launching a four month drive to spread awareness around climate change and the need to ACT NOW

We all know that children are catalysts of change. The four-month campaign aims to include these children as change makers towards the fulfillment of Sustainable Goal 13 (Climate Action). The campaign includes a pan- India contest for school students to share their impact stories of sustainable actions against climate change.

Apart from the ongoing contest, this campaign also aims to encourage the understanding of the climate crisis and individual actions through meaningful discussions on climate challenges and solutions. To fulfill the same objective, FairGaze is prepared to organize the first orientation session of the campaign.

The Orientation session will have an eminent climate expert who will shed light on the pressing issue of climate change, the cause and implications and the importance of individual sustainable actions, to bring about a larger and long-term positive impact on the environment, further on the lives of people and animal species.

The session also aims to spread awareness about its ongoing campaign for school students- School Champs For Climate Action (https://sdg.fairgaze.com/one-day-for-climate.html) and motivate maximum school children to actively participate in the change-making. The orientation session will also shed in-depth light on the “ten impactful actions”, as shared by the United Nations at https://www.un.org/en/actnow/ten-actions.
