Billabong High International, Noida hosted The Chronicles of Discourse – an Inter School Symposium

Billabong High International School, Noida (BHIS Noida) in collaboration with Hindustan Times PACE organized an Inter School literary event ‘The Chronicles of Discourse’ on the 4th August. The event was aimed at channelizing the positive energies of young learners across schools towards effective communication and making a difference in society.
The event was graced with eminent personas like Mr. Matthias Stahle from Carl – Duisberg Gymnasium (CDG) Wuppertal, Germany; Mr. Shantanu Guha Ray (India Editor for Central European News), Ms. Vaijayanti Savant Tonpe (Writer and Editor of Children’s Books), Mr. Chirojit Mukherjee (Senior Advocate Delhi High Court and Supreme Court), Mr. Hindol Kundu (Managing Director, Rain Tide Creative Business Solutions Pvt Ltd), Ms. Mithu Chatterjee (HT Pace ), Ms. Urvashi Sabu (Associate Professor, P.G.D.A.V College, Delhi University) and Ms. Manvinder Kaur (Former Head of School, DPS, Siddharth Vihar).
The event was open for students of grade IX to XII of schools from Noida and Delhi/NCR. The day began with a grand opening ceremony by the students of BHIS Noida followed by felicitation of the Honorable Guests by the Principal of the Billabong High International School & Kangaroo Kids Noida, Ms. Sharmila Chatterjee.
The various events in which the learners avidly participated are Debate, Radio Show and Panel Discussion. The overall Runners-Up Trophy was won by Lotus Valley School, Noida and Uttam School for Girls, Ghaziabad, bagged the overall Winner’s Trophy. The School Director, Ms. Jasmine Gandhi presented the trophies to the proud and deserving winners at the valedictory ceremony.
Speaking about this initiative, Ms. Sharmila Chatterjee said, “We feel delighted to have organized this and witness such talented young learners express themselves vividly. We were honored to have such guests who motivated & inspired the young speakers to present their perspectives.”
