Food Culture Of India

India is the blueprint of diverse food all over the world. With a mouth-watering variety of dishes, the masala added to every dish is lip-smacking. Diverse food from the north to the south, wherever you go you find the yummiest dishes for your mouth.
Each corner of the country holds its unique cuisine.

Let's take a tour of the mighty and diverse food of this country. Each dish is derived from the deeply rooted culture of the diverse country.

Different Specialties

The North
The North is known for its variety of dairy products where hundreds of variety dishes are made.

The South
As we know the people in the South prefer the mind-destroying dosas and the piping idlis by their essence. Even the delightful 32 varieties of rice with mystical spices are brought together to form a different taste.

In the West
People make dishes using different flours and make up for different snacks. They are very similar to the food from the north.
The East - It's different from every other region in this country. The strange bamboo dishes and the weird-looking fish dishes taste amazing.

The Secret Ingredient
The mouth-watering biryani, the curries, and many more. The secret is the SPICES! Indian cuisine is famous for its extensive use of spices and herbs, such as cumin, turmeric, coriander, cardamom, and garam masala.

The Big Truth
India is the most vegetarian country in the world, with more than thirty percent being vegetarian. Due to various cultural and religious reasons. 95% of Indians don't eat beef as cows are meant to be a cultural significance for Hindus. But India showcases a wide range of food options when being a vegetarian.

Local Street Food
People love Indian street food, especially Bombay's street food. The spicy chaats, samosas, bhel puri and how can we forget the delicious pani puri? All Indians know that street fast food is unhealthy but we Indians can’t stop eating Fast food because of the beauty of it.

The savory snacks can beat the taste out of all these easily from the other foods. No one can say no to eating samosas, kachori and other snacks.

Mithai

The Desserts
Indian desserts, known as mithai, range from rich and creamy sweets like gulab jamun and rasgulla to lighter options like kheer (rice pudding) and jalebi. These sweets are an integral part of celebrations and are often shared during festivals and special occasions.
