
Starting of 2nd test Match at Kolkata

The 2nd test match started with the Eden garden’s bell. The Bell of Honor which has been placed inside Eden Garden Stadium was rung by Former captain Kapil Dev to signal the match.
Earlier it was decided by the President of Cricket Association Board, Saurav Ganguly to place a bell inside the stadium. The Cricket Association of Bengal joint secretary Avishek Dalmiya said, the idea was suggested by Saurav Gaguly that the bell should be rung by an international cricketer, administrator or by a well known sport’s devotee.
Former captain Kapil Dev got an invitation by the President, Saurav Ganguly to do the honor. The second test match between India and New Zealand started after the bell was rung by the cricketer.
Meanwhile the BCCI wrote to the CAB suggesting that the Eden Test would be India’s 250th on home land. The President of the BCCI, Anurag Thakur has also confirmed to congratulate both the team with 100 grams Silver coins.
