The Effect of Games & Simulations on Education

A large number of youngsters across the world are addicted to video games. Adolescent teenagers and young people are more addicted to video games. Either they play the game alone on the device or they play with each other or either with the other competitor remotely connected through the internet. In all the cases the player spends longer alone with the device having serious effects on his personality and Social Life. By playing games for longer hours the player gets tired and feels restless and will not be able to focus on his studies properly.

Data collected from across the world revealed at school and college going students are more addicted to video games and simulations. As the data reveals that youth is more addicted to playing games for longer hours. So, it is pretty obvious how they will focus on their studies. Though, it is a favorite timepass activity for working professionals also. Video Games Addiction is abbreviated as VGA in medical terminology and is described as a distinct behavioral addiction. Identified by prolonged use of computer games and video games, so much so that it interferes with the person's everyday life. VGA has many negative effects on a person's personal, professional as well as social life. The biggest negative is that the player does not study properly and gets bad grades in their exams and might go into depression. When uncontrolled, it may lead to social withdrawal, restlessness, lack of sleep, fatigue along with other mental and physical negativities. Sometimes, the effects could get severe enough to cause loss of life.

Video game addiction is a serious problem that concerns the youth and society as a whole. Though the use of technology and its improvement is inevitable we always have the choice of using it wisely.
