Indian Cricket Welcomes 5 Upcoming Stars

IPL discovers talented young cricketers every year to the world. The popular T20 league has become an excellent and great platform for the young emerging players for learning and performing at a bigger stage. Not only do young Indian cricketers get a chance for showcasing their in front of the world, but also many foreign players get many golden opportunities for performing under the high-pressure situation.

 

It ultimately brings improvement as a player and also helps them in getting a national call-up. This year was no different than others as players like Buttler were recalled to the national test team which is based on their performances in the IPL. In addition, it also represented many exciting, young talents in front of the world.

 

We have seen a lot of U19 players in this IPL which are performing well for their teams. They looked confident and ready for various big stages. They have also shown some glimpses of what they can do in the near future at a bigger stage.

 

Although IPL gave them the platform, where they are recognized more and more, they already had made a name for themselves in the U19 world cup. Therefore, their performances in the IPL was not a surprise for everyone.

 

Here are those young, exciting players, who have all the ingredients to become a star in the future of Indian cricket.

 

Shubhman Gill: He has a spark of a batsman who can become a great player in the future. He also looks calm, composed and matured beyond his age. He is a technically sound batsman. Also, he likes keeping his batting very simple. It’s not just two or three of his sparkling innings in the IPL which made him an excellent prospect for the Indian cricket. In fact, with his brilliant batting throughout the tournament, he had already announced himself in the recently concluded U19 world cup. He batted magnificently, scoring 372 runs at an average of 124, and won the Man of the Tournament award as well. He also scored a scintillating hundred against arch-rival Pakistan in the semifinal of the U19 world cup.

 

Prithvi Shaw: He is just 18 years old, but he has already made the world take notice of him. For quite some time, he has been in the talks among IPL. He also came into the limelight when he hit 546 runs in a Harris Shield elite division match and had set the highest score by any batsman in any organized form of cricket since 1901.

 

Abhishek Sharma: He is a 17-year-old, young left-hander. He came to the crease and surprised everyone on hitting two thundering sixes off Tim Southee in an IPL match against RCB. But you shouldn't be surprised if you have followed him precisely and religiously.

 

Kamlesh Nagarkoti: India is not known for fast bowlers, who can click the magical 150kph at will. But Kamlesh Nagarkoti, along with Shivam Mavi, can make a change in that. They can bowl very fast and have also got the accuracy as well. Kamlesh Nagarkoti, in particular, has very strong action and has the ability to reverse swing with deceptive pace.

 

Rishabh Pant: He has constantly been knocking the door of the Indian team, and in this year's IPL, he has taken his batting to another level. He may not be a traditional class player, but he has showcased some great hitting abilities. He has made a lot of runs at a great strike rate very consistently.
