Esports today is also in its formative stages, and young learners, especially in high schools across the country, are turning their love for video games into triumphs. Today, esports competitions at the national level are becoming more and more popular, taking high school esports teams and their members not only to play games but also to develop skills, learn to work in teams and gain appreciable visibility across the country.

Electronic sports or esports have lately grown to become popular within the last decade, whereby professional games attract millions of viewers and over-the-counter prizes. Cognizant of the emerging new generation of gamers, many schools across the country have adopted the formation of esports teams to shape their students’ dreams of competition into a proper frame.

Esports in high school is not all about leisure gaming but avails opportunities to learners, as shown below. They are important since they offer countries a forum for enhancing the development of critical thinking, strategic planning, and communication skills. Further, through these programs, students are also able to meet people like-minded and create groups of everyone, thus promoting unity among the students.

PlayVS:
PlayVS works with the various state athletic associations to deliver official esports leagues for high school. Their platform connects to the schools more directly, so this means teams are able to easily compete in state-sanctioned levels of competition. PlayVS organizes competitions dealing in games such as “Smite,” “Madden NFL,” “Overwatch,” and others games with winners progressing to national stages.

Youth Esports of America (YEA):
As for YEA the organization’s main objective lies in the offering of high school goers of collegiate scholarships in esports. Their tournaments have the essence of mastering the skills as well as sportsmanship, and they tend to host a competitions on titles such as ‘Valorant,’ ‘And Rainbow Six Siege.’ YEA also assists the student who intends to have a career in esports, either as a player, a coach, or a professional staff member.

National High School Esports (NASEF):

Following former growth rates within the student and school students’ interest in competitive gaming, more nationwide competitions, prize pools, and chances for young, talented players to show themselves can be expected. High school esports are sure to gain more support from educators, parents, and gamers, and with this, esports would be another normal aspect of students' lives as they progress through high school.

Esports is something that high school students can consider as being a developing field and get fully prepare for the idea of being gamblers.
