Effective Learnings from Your Neighborhood

The young, tech-savvy people of the 21st century are often proud of themselves for being the 1st batch to experience the introduction of technology to this great extent where you can gossip even with an A.I. bot. In this fast-moving world, there has been a lot of revolution and changes. Some are good and some aren’t good for the long run. People respected their ‘me time’ and in no time, ‘me time’ completely replaced family time. But then came the lockdown, a blessing in disguise, which made us realize the importance of family time and even the introverts came out of their shells. Now since we have come this far, let’s take one more step to unite the people around us. Ever wondered why the grandma next door lives all alone?
H Jackson Brown Junior has rightly said, “Every person that you meet knows something you don’t; learn from them”. Even your next-door people can give you some valuable piece of knowledge. Being social is extremely important these days. You never know where you have to plead for help even from a stranger. So why not start this practice with our own neighbors. Even a 5 y/o little kiddo can teach us wonders through his viewpoint. We often overlook the importance of talking and interacting with people. But it’s high time that we realize that these social interactions play a very important role in having a healthy and positive mind.
It’s up to us whether we enjoy it or we ignore it. Social service plays an important role in forming one’s personality. Service before self should be the motto every time. Spending time with people brings joy to our own self. We get to explore more about the people. Through their experiences, we get to learn something. It creates a community. It is customary to form close bonds within local communities. The towns there are divided into neighborhoods and each neighbor has a president. All the people of the community enjoy together and share everything. They help each other in times of need. This creates an unconditional bond between people which reflects in every aspect of their lives. And thus they lead a long and happy life.
So we see that these communal gatherings are so much important for us. It’s time to step out of the home without gadgets and enjoy the company of people around us and learn from them.
