About Tomorrowland: Largest EDM Festival In The World

Tomorrowland is an electronic dance music festival that takes place in Boom, Belgium every summer usually towards the end of July. It was first held in 2005 and has since become one of the most popular and notable music festivals in the world. When it started, organisers actually gave free passes to locals to fill up the festival. In addition, it had performances from artists like Chuckie and Armin van Buuren, which caused organisers to incur a loss of €150,000.

The festival is known for the heavy traffic that it draws each year - both online and offline. Around 2 million people go online to buy the tickets and only 180,000 of them actually gets the chance to attend the festival. In 2012, the most eventful year for the festival, site for the ticket sale - Timoco - came crashing down as too many people were trying to buy the ticket at the same time.

The price can vary according to the type of ticket that you choose, one day passes start from 98€ and 3 day for 272€. The passes can go upto 6000€, the cost mainly depends on the accommodation that you opt for. It takes place over a course of 2 weekends.

Some of the most common performers at the festival are Avicii, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, AxwellIngrosso, Dimitri Vegas, Martin Solveig, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Like Mike and Carl Cox. David Guetta - a French DJ, record producer and songwriter, holds the record for most number of performances till now. He has performed in 14 festivals, so basically in every single one of them.

Tomorrowland is not just a music festival; it is an adult playground with majestic theatrical production. At the festival you can witness striking fireworks and laser shows, mind-blowing sets and of course, an incredible lineup of artists.
