Neymar da Silva Santos Junior, popularly known as Neymar Junior, a Brazilian football player now finds himself in the midst of a transfer battle between Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Neymar made his professional debut at the age of 17 at Santos. Neymar helped the club win two successive Campeonato Paulista championships, a Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores in 2011. He was also named the South American Footballer of the Year in a row in 2011 and 2012. He then relocated to Europe to be a part of Barcelona. He became one of the attacking players teaming up with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez as part of Barca. Neymar transferred from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for a whopping Euro 222 million making him the most expensive player ever. While playing for Paris Saint-Germain he won two league titles, a Coupe de France and a Coupe de la Ligue and was voted the Ligue1 Player of the Year.
Neymar is also the third highest goal scorer for his national team with 60 goals in 97 matches in his kitty trailing only behind the great Pele and Ronaldo. However, Neymar's second season with Paris Saint-Germain didn't go too well as he was riddled with injuries and controversies as well. He also could not participate in the 2014 FIFA world cup due to injury as well as suspension
Now Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jr wants to bid adieu to the French club. There is a strong battle going on between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid to sign up Brazilian attacker Neymar. The Battle between Real Madrid and Barcelona is a difficult one as both for the sake of their prestige want to lose out on getting Neymar in the team and yet from a financial perspective it is not an easy task to pull in the most expensive sportsman into their team. However, all of this can be decided only when Paris Saint-Germain decides to part ways with Neymar. Meanwhile Paris Saint-Germain brushed off the whole saga of Neymar Transfer by kicking off their Ligue 1 title defense with a victory over Nimes on the 11th of August, but Neymar was not a part of the Squad. Paris Saint-Germain director also did mention that possible sale of the Brazilian player were at an “more advanced stage than before” and the team coach Thomas Tuchel‘s statement that he was unaware of Neymar’s future.
