Best FIFA Football Awards: Messi, Ronaldo And Liverpool Trio In The Nomination List

A great news for all football fans best FIFA football awards has graced again this year and along with everyone’s favorites: Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Liverpool trio has also made his position in the shortlisted Best FIFA Men’s awards. Liverpool won the 2018-19 UEFA Champion League and Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane are nominated for The Best FIFA Men’s player award. The major highlights incorporates US World Cup winner Megan Rapinoe who is shortlisted for women’s player award this year. Another highlight that is sure to grab your attention is that Liverpool’s coach Juergen Klopp is heading the nominees for the men’s coach of the year award.
The winning trio of Liverpool’s Champions League is the well deserving trio to get into The Best FIFA Men’s player award, world soccer’s governing body. Salah and Mane of Liverpool became the top scorer with 22 goals each and shared the Premier League Golden Boot with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. While Lionel Messi has once again met the expectation level of his fans and became the leading scorer in both La Liga and the Champions League last season with 36 goals and 12 goals respectively.
Centre back Van Dijk was everyone’s favourite and was voted both the Premier League Player of the Season and the Players’ Player of the Year. He was instrumental in the Merseyside club’s sixth European Cup triumph.
Along with all these triumphs, Cristiano Ronaldo also won Italy’s Serie A title in his debut season with Juventus and was also voted the league’s most valuable player.
When it comes to women section, Megan Rapinoe was the name who was U.S. World Cup winner, also won the top scorer’s Golden Boot and Golden Ball for the best player at the tournament. Along with her, Alex Morgan and Julie Ertz were nominated for the best women’s player award competing with last year’s Ballon d’Or winner Ada Hegerberg.
Overall the award has graced many deserving candidates and we all are waiting for the results. Great personalities of football like Ronaldo and Messi are always in the top list. And now it’s a long wait for football fans to know the results.
