CBSE Exams Gets Postponed In Delhi

Class 10th, 12th Board Examination scheduled for 26th February, 2020 is to be postponed for centers located in North East Delhi and an official notification confirming its decision has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE.
The board has decided to postpone the examination for the students in that area to ensure the safety of students. Due to the instance of violence in the area, the decision was taken. Exams are postponed only for the North East Delhi area that is affected by recent violence following CAA protests. This notice does not apply to other parts of the country not even other parts of Delhi or NCR.
In North East Delhi, there are a total of 86 schools and examination centers that are located there and orders are only for them.
On Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia who is also the Delhi Education Minister said that all private and government schools in violence have affected Northeast Delhi and the area will continue to be closed on Wednesday i.e. on 26th Feb, 2020.
He further said that all the internal examinations have been postponed by schools.
Yesterday (25th Feb), in North East Delhi, the Delhi Government ordered shut for all the schools, following violent clashes between pro and anti-CAA groups. Apart from this, the internal examination for schools in the affected area was also canceled. There was no harm on the CBSE Board Exam 2020, as there was no exam on 25th Feb. Students and parents are anxious about today (26th Feb) as the situation is tense.
Many students have reached out directly to the board, sharing how the rumors of exam being canceled are spreading in the area in the social media. And the board replied that this has not been decided yet. Not to believe rumors and advised students that information would be shared on the official website CBSE.nic.in as well as on CBSE’s Official Twitter Handle, instructed by the CBSE.
Only 18 examination centers in West Delhi were allocated for the planned exams today – February 25, 2020, CBSE has further clarified that they will conduct English examination for class 10 on 26th February 2020. For the English Class 10 examination, all the registered students would be appearing.
