Chief Selector MSK Prasad: We Have to Frame a team for the T20 World Cup

Prasad said quite a few talented youngsters will be tried out in the meantime.
Even though the talk still circumduct all over India's bleak 50-over World Cup ouster in UK, chairman of selectors MSK Prasad said the system will now have to move on and prioritise its next objective, which is the T20 World Cup in Australia, only 15 months away from now.
In line with that, Prasad confirmed, quite a few talented youngsters will be tried in the immediate future so as to prepare them for the task down under.
"Our vision is very clear. We have to build a team for the (T20) World Cup. We have a core team ready and there are those who are on the fringe. We have to try out a few more players," Prasad told India Today.
"Once we have tried enough players, four months before the World Cup, which is about twelve months from now, we will play with the main team. If there are 25 T20s maybe in 10-12 we will experiment."
Krunal Pandya who was drafted in India’s T20 squad this year should believe he is in for a long haul. Mayank Markande whose mysterious googlies in IPL earned him an India cap has lost his India spot after a solitary game to fellow Mumbai Indians leggie Rahul Chahar. Off spinning all-rounder, Washington Sundar too makes it to the West Indies bound T20 squad.
