
Children Can Be More Creative if Parents Gift Them with Learning Material

Experts have suggested that parents should provide children with learning materials such as books and toys. As per the suggestion, learning material engage children in meaningful conversations during infancy and toddlerhood are likely to develop early cognitive skills. Along with this, these cognitive skills can indulge into later academic success, discovers a new study by NYU's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
Catherine Tamis-LeMonda is the study's lead author and a professor of applied psychology at NYU Steinhardt. The scientists said, this study confirms the importance of strong home learning environments that arm children with foundation skills. Additionally, these foundation skills are springboards to long-term academic achievement.
Home leaning environment allows the children to shape their language and cognitive development. Additionally, children's participation in learning activities, the quality of parent-child communications, and the availability of learning materials are three key aspect of the home learning environment. The learning materials support language and pre-academic skills in children in their early childhood, stated the experts.
